DHAKA, October 27, 2026 - Electricity supply has been restored in parts of Dhaka and Chattogram following a technical glitch that disrupted power connections earlier on Tuesday, according to the Power Division.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, the division said emergency measures had been taken to restore electricity and that connections in most affected areas had already been restored.
The authorities subsequently completed restoration work in the remaining affected areas, bringing power supply back to normal.
The technical glitch disrupted electricity supply in parts of the two major cities, although the authorities did not disclose the number of consumers affected or the exact cause of the interruption.
