DHAKA, Nov 16, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid will inaugurate Aftabnagar and Purbachal 132/33/11 KV grid substations tomorrow.
“Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) has constructed Aftabnagar 132/33/11 KV and Purbachal 132/33/11 KV grid substations under DESCO area,” Director (Public Relations) of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) Saiful Hasan Chowdhury told BSS today.
He said the state minister will inaugurate the two grid substations from Aftabnagar 132/33/11 KV grid substation area as the chief guest.
Chowdhury said both the grid substations were constructed with DESCO finance with geographic information system (GIS) technology of HYOSUNG Heavy Industries Corporation, Korea.
Aftabnagar 132/33/11 KV grid substation was commissioned on test basis on June 24, 2019, which would help for uninterrupted power supply in future, he said.
Power Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus and BPDB Chairman Engineer Khaled Mahmood will present as special guests, while Additional Secretary Maksuda Khatun will preside the inaugural ceremony.
Purbachal 132/33/11 KV grid substation will ensure smooth power supply to Purbachal new town under the DESCO area in the city.
