
Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd., (TPREL), India’s largest renewable energy company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has commissioned 100 MW/138MWp project for Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) in Partur, Maharashtra.
It is composed of more than 411,900 monocrystalline PV modules. The project is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by around 234 millions tons annually.
Tata Power Solar Systems Limited was responsible for the execution of the project, which was completed within the timeframe of 3.5 months on 600 acres of Tata Power land.
Tata Power’s renewables capacity now stands at 3,620 MW, with 2,688 MW Solar and 932 MW Wind.
Tata Power has 4,920 MW total renewable capacity, with 1,300 MW of projects in various stages of development.
