A circular issued by the Cabinet Division said district-level officials should join divisional programs online, while upazila-level officials should participate virtually in district-level events. Physical meetings may be held when necessary, subject to proper justification.
The directive, which takes immediate effect, aims to conserve fuel, reduce travel costs and increase the use of digital technology in government operations. The latest circular replaces a previous instruction issued on April 22.
