The government has decided to keep domestic fuel prices unchanged for May, even as international oil prices continue to rise.
In the global market, Brent crude has climbed to around $120 per barrel. Despite this increase, the authorities have opted not to adjust local fuel prices for the month.

The Energy and Mineral Resources Division conveyed the decision to the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) through an official letter issued on Thursday.
Under the current pricing structure, retail fuel prices remain as follows: diesel at Tk 115 per liter, kerosene at Tk 130, octane at Tk 140, and petrol at Tk 135.
Earlier, on April 18, the government raised prices of all types of fuel at the consumer level in response to rising global oil prices.
