Dhaka, August 14, 2026: Astronergy, a global solar technology company under CHINT Group, unveiled its latest solar module technology, ASTRO N7 Pro, at a renewable energy event in Dhaka attended by around 200 stakeholders and business leaders from Bangladesh’s renewable energy sector.
The event brought together representatives from engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, project developers, investors, distributors, Bangladesh Solar and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA), Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA), Power Development Board (PDB), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), policymakers and other industry stakeholders.
The gathering provided a platform for industry leaders to exchange views on advanced solar technologies and Bangladesh’s transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable energy system.
A major highlight of the event was the launch of ASTRO N7 Pro, Astronergy’s latest solar module technology. The company’s technical experts from its global headquarters presented the technology’s key features, innovations and potential applications for utility-scale, commercial and industrial (C&I) and other renewable energy projects.
Astronergy APAC Head David Zhang, Bangladesh Country Manager Md. Hasib and members of the company’s global technical team shared insights into recent developments in solar technology and their potential applications in Bangladesh.
The company said the new technology is designed to improve solar project performance, reliability and long-term value, supporting the country’s efforts to expand renewable energy capacity.
70 MWp Distribution Agreement Signed
A key outcome of the event was the signing of a 70 MWp distribution agreement between Astronergy and M/S Genetic Renewable Energy Co.
The agreement reflects the growing demand for advanced and high-quality solar modules in Bangladesh and is expected to strengthen Astronergy’s distribution network and market presence in the country.
Partners and Projects Recognised
Astronergy also recognized outstanding contributions to Bangladesh’s solar sector through Strategic Partnership Awards presented to selected EPC partners for their role in expanding renewable energy deployment.
The company also presented Best Project Awards in the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment to organizations that have successfully implemented solar projects and contributed to clean energy adoption.
