Organized under the Women’s Empowerment and Energy (WEE) project of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), the rally highlighted the importance of increasing women's participation and leadership in the renewable energy sector. Participants noted that the initiative played a significant role in raising community-level awareness.

Local cyclists, youth, students, and people from various professions joined the rally, collectively voicing their support for renewable energy and a gender-just sustainable energy transition.
WEE-Net (Women’s Empowerment and Energy Network), composed mostly of women-led organizations, works to strengthen women’s skills, promote employment in renewable energy, support women-led green enterprises, and advance coordinated advocacy for just and gender-responsive energy policies. The network invites civil society groups, individuals, and institutions to join the platform.
The objective of WEE-Net is to strengthen women’s leadership and capacity in the just energy transition, ensure access to public and private financing for women-led renewable energy initiatives, and actively engage in national platforms and joint efforts to promote gender-responsive renewable energy policies and planning.
Participants and organizers expressed hope that such initiatives will play a vital role in driving sustainable change in the energy sector and carry out greater awareness and public engagement.
