Two energy-related facilities in Qatar were struck by missiles launched from Iran, according to international news agencies. However, Qatar’s Ministry of Defense confirmed that there were no casualties resulting from the incident.
In an official statement, the ministry said that one missile hit a water storage tank at the Mesaieed Energy Plant. Another missile was launched toward an energy facility associated with QatarEnergy, located in the Ras Laffan Industrial City.
The statement further noted that the relevant authorities will assess all physical damage and financial losses caused by the attack. A formal announcement will be made following the completion of the evaluation.
