ABU DHABI, July 31, 2026: As Europe and the United Kingdom face growing concerns over low gas storage levels and potential winter energy shortages, Abu Dhabi-based Kinetic7 Technologies has unveiled its hydrogen-on-demand technology as a potential solution to strengthen energy security and reduce dependence on conventional gas supplies.
The company says its proprietary system produces hydrogen only when needed at the point of use, eliminating the need for large-scale storage and transport infrastructure. The technology is designed for commercial, off-grid and emergency applications, offering a cleaner and more resilient alternative to traditional fossil fuels.

Kinetic7 has already developed portable hydrogen-powered cooking systems for disaster relief and humanitarian operations and has introduced the HODBox™ (Hydrogen On Demand Box) for restaurants, hotels and commercial kitchens. The company is also developing a residential version aimed initially at off-grid households, where hydrogen can be produced using water, electrolysis and electricity from solar panels or the grid.
Kinetic7 Founder and Chairman Rick Parish said Europe’s current gas supply challenges highlight the need for decentralized energy solutions that can enhance resilience amid geopolitical tensions, volatile LNG markets, limited storage capacity and growing renewable energy integration.
The company believes hydrogen-on-demand technology could become an important component of future energy systems by providing clean, secure and locally produced fuel while supporting decarbonization and reducing reliance on imported fossil fuels.
