Texas Agriculture & Mechanical University is among the world`s leading Universities and best in Petroleum Engineering. Its Energy Institute is one of the leading institutes of its kind in the USA.
The MoU outlines collaboration on:
-
Joint research and innovation in energy and sustainability along with expert exchanges
-
Capacity building through academic and technical programs
-
Shared best practices in energy regulation and policy
The agreement was signed by Dr. Stratos Pistikopoulos, Director of TAMEI, and Jalal Ahmed, Chairman of BERC in the presence of: - Dr. Faisal Khan: Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department, Texas A&M University - Asif Ahmed Victor: BUET graduate, Associate Professor and Assistant Director of Decarbonization at TAMEI.
Also present were US-Bangladesh Unity Initiative’s Directors my elder son Asif Ahmed Victor (an alumnus of Texas A&M) and Shah Choudhury, representing the next generation of global connectors working to advance cross-border solutions in energy, policy, and innovation.
This MoU would open up the opportunities of cooperation between the BERC and TAMEI in the fields of Energy Research, Capacity building and sharing best practices. Thanks are due to the Hon’ble Advisor for Power & Energy Dr. Muhammad Fouzul Kabir khan for making it happen. Thanks to my colleagues, specially BERC Member Dr. Syeda Sultana Razia and others who provided support in its preparation and approval process.
