The Power Division has accepted a proposal of the Power Development Board (PDB) to keep purchasing power from PowerPac Mutiara Keraniganj Power Plant Limited for the next five years.

As per the agreement (PPA), PDB will buy electricity from the 100 MW PowerPac Keraniganj plant until March 26, 2022.

PowerPac Managing Director Ron Haque Sikder and PDB Secretary Mina Masuduzzaman signed the PPA on behalf of their respective sides at PDB's board room recently.

The PDB first signed the PPA with PowerPac on July 10 in 2010.

PowerPac, a concern of Sikder Group, has been supplying 100 MW electricity from its Keraniganj plant for the last six years.
