Bangladesh and Germany have taken a significant step towards strengthening cooperation in renewable energy and technical education with the signing of an implementation agreement to develop a skilled workforce for the country’s growing sustainable energy sector.
The Technical and Madrasah Education Division (TMED) under the Ministry of Education and GIZ Bangladesh signed the agreement to formally launch the Vocational Training in the Field of Renewable Energy (TVET4RE) project.
The signing ceremony was held in Dhaka in the presence of senior government officials, representatives of the German government and development partners.
The agreement follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Economic Relations Division (ERD) and GIZ on June 11, 2026, paving the way for the project’s implementation.
