International Energy Agency has released a major update to its Energy Crisis Policy Response Tracker, an interactive tool monitoring government actions taken in response to energy market disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict.

The update expands coverage beyond short-term demand management measures to include longer-term structural policies aimed at improving energy resilience, such as energy efficiency upgrades and electrification programs.

The tracker now covers 109 countries, including small island developing states, and allows users to filter responses by region or country to identify key policy trends.

According to the IEA, nearly 20 countries have introduced structural reforms in response to the crisis, including support for building retrofits and electric vehicle deployment.

The tool complements broader IEA initiatives to support governments during the crisis, including emergency stock releases and policy guidance on managing energy price pressures.
