18th April 2026

The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has announced expanded pilot operations of the ‘Fuel Pass BD’ app as part of efforts to strengthen digital management in fuel distribution.

According to a Facebook post issued by the ministry on Saturday (April 18), the app is currently being used on a trial basis at 18 petrol stations in Dhaka district. The system is designed to make fuel collection by motorcycle users more organized and digitally managed.

Under the expanded pilot program, motorcycle registration and fuel distribution through the app have been introduced not only in Dhaka but also in several other districts and metropolitan areas. These include Chandpur, Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh, along with their respective metropolitan areas.

Motorcycles registered in these regions will now be brought under the ‘Fuel Pass BD’ system, enabling users to collect fuel through the mobile application. The ministry also noted that the number of participating petrol pumps in Dhaka has been increased to 18 as part of the ongoing pilot expansion.

The digital fuel distribution system is expected to be gradually introduced across other districts nationwide.

The ministry expressed its appreciation to all stakeholders for their cooperation and positive participation in implementing the ‘Fuel Pass BD’ initiative.
