A mass hearing on identification of grey area of corruption was held at Narayanganj Palli Bidyut Samiti-2 office in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj recently.
Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board taskforce coordinator and additional secretary Yeakub Ali Patwary, BREB executive director Dahidul Islam and chief engineer (project) Jalal Uddin Miah, among others, were present at the hearing, said a press release.
At the same time, consumers of the local BREB participated at the mass hearing.
The participants urged the BREB officials to avoid unauthorized brokers in BREB areas using modern technologies.
The BREB officials received written complaints and recommendations from the consumers, the release added.
