Ukraine has attracted an investment of 1.1 billion euro (about 1.3 billion U.S. dollars) in green energy projects in the past three years, Ukraine’s State Agency for Energy Efficiency (SAEE) said recently.
In particular, those projects include the installation of biogas units and the construction of biomass power station, the agency said in a statement.
In the near future, Ukraine has good opportunities to attract investment in the construction of plants producing solar panels given the rising demand on this equipment in the Ukrainian market, the statement said.
In May, Sergiy Savchuk, head of the SAEE, said Ukraine is interested in a joint implementation of about 100 green energy projects with China, which require an investment of about 3.95 billion U.S. dollars.
