The government has appointed Md. Ziaul Haque, currently an Additional Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD), as the new Secretary of the division following his promotion.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification to this effect recently.
Md. Ziaul Haque will succeed Mohammad Saiful Islam, who has served as Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division since October 7, 2024.
In a separate notification, the government transferred Mohammad Saiful Islam to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, where he will take up his new assignment.
