Dhaka, Feb 11, 2021(BSS) - Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh Winnie Estrup today said Danish companies are interested to provide technical support in Bangladesh’s power and energy sector.

“Dialogues could be arranged between the two countries to identify sectors or areas for cooperation,” she said while paying a courtesy call on State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid at his office in Bangladesh Secretariat.

Praising the government’s tremendous progress, the Danish envoy discussed about clean and green energy transitions.

Welcoming her, Nasrul Hamid said Bangladesh is giving special importance to expansion of clean energy, adding, “We have taken various stimulus packages for expansion of renewable energy.”

Describing investment in sub-sectors under the power sector, the state minister said that Denmark can invest in wind mapping and wind power.
