Dhaka, September 14, 2020 - The country’s business conglomerate East Coast Group’s subsidiary Omera Gas One Limited has signed separate deals with Meghna, Jamuna and Padma oil companies to set up auto gas stations and supply LPG (Liquefied petroleum gas) across the country amid high hopes that the move would ease people’s sufferings in converting their vehicles into LPG-efficient. Through the signing of the agreements Omera Gas One Ltd will not only supply LPG to the stations of the three companies but it will help convert vehicles into LPG-driven.
On Sunday, Tanveer Azam Chowdhury, CEO of Omera Gas One Ltd, officially unveiled details of the agreement signing with Meghna Petroleum Ltd (MPL), Jamuna Oil Company Ltd (JOCL) and Padma Oil Company Ltd (POCL) at the East Coast Group headquarters in the city’s Gulshan area. Omera Gas One’s General Manager Md. Kamal Hossaine was also present when the announcement was made on Sunday.
Tanveer Azam Chowdhury said they separately signed the agreements with Meghna and Jamuna on Thursday while the deal with Padma was signed on Saturday. Meghna’s Managing Director Mir Saifullah-Al-Khaled, Jamuna’s Managing Director Md. Gias Uddin Ansary and Padma’s Managing Director Md. Masudur Rahman signed the deals on behalf of their companies.
About the signing of the agreements, Tanveer Azam Chowdhury said joining hands with these three giants means more LPG access to refueling stations and more availability of auto gas for consumers across the country.
“A lot of consumers hesitate to convert to LPG only doubting the availability of the fuel. Therefore, Omera Gas One is determined to remove this hesitation altogether building auto gas presence all over the country. These auto gas stations will not only provide uninterrupted LPG for vehicles 24/7 but also provide LPG conversion services,” he said in a statement.
“I am sure our cooperation with these energy giants will bring a revolutionary change in the LPG regime of the country,” he said.
