Chowdhury Group CEO and Managing Director Asif A Chowdhury has been elected president of Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) for the year 2020-2022.
Md Shariful Alam, M Jalalul Hai were elected Vice Presidents, while Takeshi Hashimoto has been elected Treasurer.
Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun) has been re-elected Secretary General for the term 2020-2022, said a press release.
The newly elected directors are Yuji Ando, Tadaoki Watanabe, Takashi Miyata, Tetsuro Kano, Nurul Wahab, Syed Samiul Huq and Dr. Kabir Ahmed.
The election was held on 22nd February 2021, while the new Board of Directors took over charge on Sunday.
