Delta LPG Limited, a private sector company will soon emerge in the energy sector of Bangladesh with a mission for being the company of choice for the future supply of cooking fuel for domestic, commercial end users and auto gas for the vehicles. The LPG bottling plant of the company is nearing completion in Mongla Port Industrial Area, Bagerhat. This plant is designed using state of the art modern technology with vision of bottling and distrusting LPG countrywide complying with Bangladesh and international environment safety standards. Safety and business ethics, ethos and commitment are focused on for achieving sustainability.
Delta would play an important role through making contribution for long term energy supply security as interim fuel replacing pipeline gas to LPG for domestic along with small industries and auto gas for public-private vehicles. We are set to importing LPG, setting up LPG terminal, bottle LPG, constructing satellite stations and distribution outlets. Using BOVAIL/Bulk Cylinder carrying ships this is in keeping with present government vision of phasing out pipeline gas use for domestic and CNG sectors in the wake of depleting natural gas resources.
Project Brief
The project is being set up on 5.71 acres land of Mongla Port which is already developed by using Geotextile. 6-8 meter draft developed adjacent Poshur River for berthing LPG carrying vessels. Other required infrastructures and utilities are also available for smooth operation. Estimated project cost is Tk 106 cores.
The plant will have two spherical tanks of 4000 cubic meter each procured from Jingmen Hongtu Aircraft Manufacturing Co Limited a concern of CMC, China. A leading Danish manufacturer Kosan Crisplant would supply carousal, filling hull and filling unit. The company would engage reputed inspection and quality control consultant during manufacturing of the units and construction at site.
It will have 3,08,000 cubic meter/1,54,000 MT storage capacity. It would set up 3-6 satellite stations in strategic locations of the country for smooth operation of the business.
Cylinder Filling Capacity
Fully automated filling hull/carousal: For 12 Kg Cylinders small domestic users in 24 posts: 60,000 per annum 33 and 45 kg big size cylinder single pot carousal capacity: 24,00,00 per annum.
Products: Bottled & bulk LP gas
Domestic 12Kg, Commercial: 35kg/45kg. We will have ability of supplying bulk LPG by road tankers of European standard to clients all over Bangladesh. We will have a fleet of road tankers for meeting the demands of industrial consumers.
Company will also provide customer services supplying valves, regulators, nozzles acquired from local source and import.
Quality Standards
ASME testing standard will be complied for welding and fabrication (NDT, PWST). Digital Control System will be used for inflow and outflow of LPG, flow metering, level gauge, measuring temperature and pressure.
Energy Support
Electrical Support: Transformer 800 KW/1000 KVA. Alternative power supply: Diesel Generator 300KW/375 KVA. Water supply: Storage Tank capacity 3,000 MT from Mongla port authority.
Jetty Facilities: combined Jetty already been constructed adjoin with the Plant consisting 420 feet length and 10 feet wide and hold in water draft minimum 6-7 meters enough for 8,000-12,000 MT bulk imported LPG tanker berth. It will have facilities to load bulk cylinder carrying ship/burge transportation all over country through revering.
Safety & Security Measures
Fire Fighting System: Supported by Sprinkle & BPS system, Diesel Pump, Jokky Pump, nozzles & smoke/Gas detector with around water line and special water supply system to secure the tanks with water reserve for 3,000 MT water 24 hrs along with required quantity of fire extinguishers for CO2, form and ABC powder.
Security systems: Under CC camera monitoring and instant alarming system.
Environment: the plant compliance with environment feathers applied by concerned authorities and international standard along with geophysical advantages with riverside-planed green covered area.
Delta Limited Distribution Strategy
We will set 770 Auto station under the terms of financial support and dealership to operator and also operate directly minimum 20 Auto station in our consumer zone as branding of the plant to supply LP Gas, Auto Gas Station for vehicles filling along with small Factories/industries as mainstream fuel by big and medium size BOVTAIL, vouchers, cylinder carrying tank lorry. To delivery to household we will select and nominate dealership in country wide to sale market size cylinders by small size BOVTAIL, vouchers, cylinder carrying tank lorry.
