Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has requested to the Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) to check the diesel smuggling as the petroleum fuel sales increased significantly in the current month.
BPC Chairman Shamsur Rahman recently informed it to the journalists at a press conference at BPC’s Karwan Bazar office.
“We have noticed that the diesel trade has increased nearly double in the current month compared to same month in last year,” BPC chairman said. He said the BPC is investigating the unusual trade of diesel.
The BPC has now stocked 13 days demand of diesel which will increase 25 days mid of February, according to the official. The stock of diesel will be increased 29-day in March, 2020, he informed.
