Cabinet committee has sanctioned to construct 400 MW gas/RLNG based combined cycle power plant at Meghna Ghat in Narayanganj. The committee has permitted total six purchase offer with a cost of 2 thousand 302 crores 63 lakhs taka.
The committee meeting was chaired by finance minister A H M Mustafa Kamal who showcased different aspects of these purchase offers.
Consortium of Anlima Textile Limited and GE Capital Global Energy Investments B.V.’s Meghna Ghat 400 MW power plant in Narayanganj has been sanctioned based on some conditionals, he said.
Entrepreneurial organization will construct it for 22 years in “Build Own Operate” systems where this contract would be reviewed within every 5 years, he added.
He further added purchase offer for retails equipments and related service collection in maintenance and conducting Vola 225 MW combined cycle power plants gas turbines unit 1 and 2 has been permitted too.
However, unit 1 would cost 207 crores 70 lac and 2 will 371 crores 50 lac taka. Ms General Electric would implement this project.
