The government has appointed four new members to the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) for a three-year term.
The newly appointed BERC members are Dr Syeda Sultana Razia, Md Gias Uddin Joarder, Md Abdur Razzak and Md Mizanur Rahman, according to separate notifications issued recently by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
Services of the new members would be considered as full-time and they cannot be involved in any other jobs during their tenure in the BERC.
The notification said as the member of BERC, they won't be able to run any business under their own names or the names of their dependants in any organization under power and energy sector.
