Dhaka, May 29, 2019 (PR) - The country registered highest power generation of 12,893 MW at 9:00 pm on Wednesday, according to a communication by Bangladesh Power Development Board.
The earlier highest generation of 12,539 MW was recorded on May 21 this year.
Officials said there is no power loadshedding in the country at present as the generation is not less than the demand. However, there are some disruptions in the transmission and distribution systems, they added.
The installed generation capacity of grid power is now 18,329 MW, but remained unutilized due mainly to gas supply shortage as well as weaknesses in transmission and distribution systems.
