Dhaka, May 31, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has re-fixed the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) at Tk 842 for a 12 kg cylinder at retailer level.

 

“The newly fixed price of LPG will be effective from tomorrow (June 1) and all licenses of LPG marketing companies will implement the price,” Chairman of BERC Md Abdul Jalil said this while addressing a press briefing at a virtual platform.

 

Announcing the new price of LPG, he said the BERC also re-fixed auto gas price at Taka 41.74 per liter, while per kilogram of LPG at Taka 70.17 at retailer level inclusive VAT owned by private sector.

 

According to the BERC decision, new price at retailer level owned by private sector, 12.5 kg LPG has been fixed at Taka 877 at retailer level, 15 kg at Taka 1,053, 16 kg at Taka 1,123, 18 kg at Taka 1,264, 20 kg at Taka 1,404, 22 kg at Taka 1,544, 25 kg at Taka 1,754, 30 kg at Taka 2,105, 33 kg at Taka 2,316, 35 kg at Taka 2,457 and 40 kg at Taka 3,158.

 

The BERC chairman said the price of LPG at $495 and $475 per tonne was fixed for May 2021 by Saudi Contract Price (Saudi CP) as per Saudi Aramco Propane and Butane.

 

Md Abdul Jalil said the newly fixed price of LPG will be effective from June 1 and all licenses of LPG bottle marketing companies will implement the price.

 

Among others, secretary of BERC Rubina Ferdousi, members and officials joined the virtual briefing.
