Local power giant Summit Group has sought permission to import petroleum fuel for it’s various power plants with combined capacity to generate 716MW (megawatt) of electricity for the year 2020.
Summit Oil and Shipping Company Limited (SOSCL), a sister concern of the Summit Group, has placed a proposal before the Power Division.
Summit Group, as a pioneer in power generation in the private sector, has been generating electricity a total of 1941MW through 20 power plants in different strategic locations of the country.
