There were 41 power plant contracts announced in the North America region in Q2 2019, marking a flat growth over the last 12-month average of 41, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.
Electricity Procurement stood at first place, when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q2 2019, with 68 contracts and a 36.4% share. This was followed by generation equipment with 44 contracts and a 23.5% share and power plants with 41 contracts and a 21.9% share during the quarter.
Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the North America region, solar accounted for 34 contracts with an 82.9% share, followed by wind with three contracts and a 7.3% share and thermal with two contracts and a 4.9% share.
