Berlin, April 18, 2018 (PR) - The power and energy sector could turn into more consumer-friendly with ‘block chain’ method, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said in Germany on Tuesday.
The method is playing an important role in ensuring certainty of resources, security, automation and disintermediation, contributing to providing rapid and quality services to the beneficiaries, according to a message received in Dhaka today (Wednesday).
“It could also be ensured in Bangladesh,” Nasrul told a session on “Block Chain for Energy Systems” of “Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue” at the Federal Foreign Office of Berlin, Germany.
He said the system could be effective in Bangladesh in execution of jobs like certification, smart grid, smart communication, mobilization of resources and digital payment.
“Application of technology in Bangladesh’s energy sector is gradually increasing,” he said, reviewing the country’s energy sector transition.
