   DHAKA, Aug 7, 2017 (BSS) - Russia's state nuclear energy corporation ROSATOM has undertaken an extensive program to develop and train human resources for Rooppur nuclear power plant.

 

The Russian state company is implementing the first ever nuclear power plant at Rooppur of Pabna district and is taking initiative to train human resources for Bangladesh's nuclear energy sector, according to a statement received here today.

 

Besides, the India's Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC) and "CNIITMASH" a sister concern of Russia's state nuclear energy corporation ROSATOM are jointly working on establishing a Center for General Engineering and Technical Training in the India's city of Rachi.

 

First 200 engineers from HEC Ltd will start their education program by the end of 2017 or early 2018, the statement also said.

 

The training will be given nine different courses of one to four months duration and will be carried out by CNIITMASH specialists.

 

The initiative aims at skill development of technical people, working in various engineering enterprises in India. Currently, CNIITMASH specialists are preparing training materials for the center.

 

The center is expected to raise efficiency of production in national energy and engineering sectors and to develop qualification of Indian engineers.
