Brazil has offered to share its experience in the field of wind power with Bangladesh.

Brazilian Ambassador in Dhaka Joao Tabajara De Oliveira Junior made the offer when he met State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid at his office recently.

The Brazilian envoy said there is a good opportunity for Bangladesh to gather experience from windmills in Brazil.

Appreciating the Power and Energy Ministry’s active role in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries, Oliveira Junior said Bangladesh should organize a roadshow on its development plan to attract the Brazilian investors.

Both Bangladesh and Brazil can exchange representatives which will benefit bilateral trade and business, he said.

Welcoming the Brazilian ambassador’s suggestion, Nasrul Hamid said an investment-friendly environment is prevailing in Bangladesh where Brazilian investors can explore the potential in the power and energy sector.
